Quarry Operators

An opportunity exists for experienced Quarry Operators in the Burnie area. This is a permanent full-time position and will be responsible for the day to day operations and production that supplies product to the road, building and construction industries.
To be successful in this role, you will need experience in production or process plant operation as well as the ability to identify variations in the product to ensure compliance with strict quality standards.
We are looking for someone who is a team player with good communication skills. In addition the applicant must be familiar with and able to implement all current Health and Safety and Environmental requirements as well as the ability to operate all relevant plant and equipment used within the quarry.
This role requires a high level of customer focus along with intermediate computer and clerical skills to enable the collection, testing and recording of product sampling to ensure compliance. You will be multi skilled and able to perform each role within the process plant and you will have involvement in and ownership of the development of the SOP's and OH&S systems.
Reporting to your supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Ensure strict compliance with OH&S standards
Ensure QA standards are maintained
Operation and maintenance of crushing and screening plant
Operation of loaders, excavators and dump trucks
